Investigating the Role of Oxidative Stress in Aging and Age-related Diseases. MSC

Abstract:
This research project aims to investigate the role of oxidative stress in aging and age-related diseases. Oxidative stress, an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the antioxidant defense system, has been implicated in the aging process and the development of various age-related diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying oxidative stress and its impact on cellular function is crucial for developing interventions to promote healthy aging and prevent age-related diseases. This study will employ a combination of experimental and computational approaches to explore the role of oxidative stress in aging and age-related diseases. The findings from this research will provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of aging and may have implications for the development of therapeutic strategies targeting oxidative stress.
